TachoDownloader
This function enables the automatic download of driver and vehicle files from the TACHOfresh archive to a predefined directory on a local PC, or to a user-definable directory on his PC or local server environment. More details about the setup as well as the configuration can be found in the following:
Installation of the TachoDownloader
There are 2 ways to install the TachoDownloader application on a PC:
Click on the following link TachoDownloader - or
Log in to your customer account. Under the menu item "Upload History Driver" or Upload History Vehicle" there is a link at the bottom of the screen from which the download can also be performed.
After the successful installation this TachoDownlaoder icon will appear in the task bar
Configuration of the TachoDownloader
To configure the TachoDownloader, right-click on the icon to open a menu with the items "Show TachoDownloader" and "Shutdown". Click on the menu item "Show TachoDownloader" for configuration. This opens the input screen for the user login. The following entries are required:
Customer number
User name (of the user registered in the application)
Password of the registered user
After successful registration, the following screen appears with the default entry for the user:
Instead of the predefined folder, an alternative folder on the PC or a local server can be specified here.
The next step is to create the destination folders for the vehicle and driver files. In general these are stored in separate folders.
The following information is required for the respective file types:
Available fleet
Download start date
Download interval
Storage location: here the defaults from the basic settings are taken over.
Special feature: if no subdirectory is to be created for each fleet (for multiple fleets/driver groups), the "Create fleet folder" checkbox must be removed/inactivated.
After entering the values, be sure to save!
After the configurations are created, the result appears as on the following screen:
To ensure that the download takes place automatically, check the "Automatic download is active" box. It is also possible to initiate the transfer manually by clicking on "Manual download".
The "Download Status" provides a log of files downloaded from the system, separated by driver ("D") and vehicle ("V") files.
Data directory of the downloaded files
The directory in which the files are stored has been taken over as the default in the configuration, or has been specified individually by the user. The following example shows the view when the default has been adopted:
